The Mill sought our services to assist with this spot for a new Schick product for women...the Schick Hydro Silk. For this spot, we were given the challenge of tracking the legs in each shot so that The Mill could apply their water effects. The main hurdle was that none of the shots had tracking markers nor did they have much foreground or background detail to obtain a clean, automatic track. Most tracking software relies on markers or rich detail to obtain a smooth camera track that can be utilized later in the pipeline to blend in CG elements. In the end, a combination of software and brute force talent was utilized to ensure a smooth track which allowed The Mill to realistically insert their water effects into each shot.
